Zero Company cross training explained
Cross Training is the system that converts Bond progress into permanent capability. Bonds between paired Operators unlock combat bonuses, and Cross Training is how those relationships translate into what each Operator can do. The full list of bonuses has not been published.

What is confirmed
Cross Training is named as part of the progression layer alongside Focus Points, Focus Trees and Bonds. Pair relationships unlock permanent combat bonuses and maximum-Bond passives.
Beyond that, the specifics are unpublished. This page will stay short until they are — a longer page built out of assumptions would be worse than an honest one.
Confirmed
The rules as officially stated
- Cross Training is part of the progression layer.
- Pair relationships unlock permanent combat bonuses.
- Maximum Bond unlocks a passive.
Planning
What this means for squad building
- Plan Bond pairings deliberately, since the payoff is permanent rather than per-mission.
- Treat any specific Cross Training bonus claim as unverified until launch.
What we don't know yet
The game has not been released. These are open questions we have chosen not to guess at.
- Every Cross Training bonus.
- Whether Cross Training lets an Operator use another's abilities.
- Whether it is automatic on reaching a Bond level or chosen.
- Whether it can be reset or respecced.
